Product images, trademarks, and third party material

Product photographs shown on this site are generally supplied by manufacturers or provided through retailer affiliate programs, including the Amazon Product Advertising API, and remain the property of their respective owners. They are displayed to identify the products under discussion.

Brand names, model names, logos, and trademarks that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes only, which is nominative fair use. Their presence here does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or approval by those owners. Amazon, the Amazon logo, and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Manufacturer specifications, technical figures, and aggregate customer rating data are facts and are not themselves subject to copyright, although our selection, presentation, and scoring of that data is.

Copyright infringement notices

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users of this site to do the same. If you own the copyright in material you believe has been reproduced on MeasuringWorld.com in a way that constitutes infringement, you may send us a notice under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. section 512.

To be effective, your written notice must include the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, including the full URL of the page on which it appears
  4. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf

Send the notice to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Notice”. We review every notice we receive and will remove or disable access to material that is properly identified as infringing. In appropriate circumstances we will also terminate access for repeat infringers.

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. section 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.

Counter notification

If material of yours has been removed from this site as a result of a notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter notification to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, your name, address, and telephone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court.

If we have made a mistake

If you find material here that you believe should not be published, or an attribution that is missing or wrong, tell us before anything formal. Most issues are resolved quickly by email, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it.
