Affiliate Disclosure

MeasuringWorld.com is supported by its readers. This page explains exactly how, in plain language, so you know what our relationship with the retailers we link to actually is.

Amazon Associates Program disclosure

MeasuringWorld.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon, the Amazon logo, AmazonSupply, and the AmazonSupply logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We are not affiliated with Amazon beyond our participation in its affiliate program, and Amazon does not review, endorse, or approve the content published on this site.

What this means when you click a link

Many of the product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a commission on that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, never out of your pocket.

Affiliate links may appear in any of the following places:

  • Product names, product images, and pricing buttons on review pages
  • Comparison tables and category rankings
  • Buttons or text links inside articles and buying guides
  • Sidebar and in page product recommendation blocks

Clicking an affiliate link may place a cookie in your browser that credits the referral to us for a limited window, typically twenty four hours in the case of Amazon. Our Cookie Policy covers this in more detail.

How commissions affect our recommendations

They do not. Our rankings are computed from published product specifications and demand data using the same scoring rules across a category. Commission rate is not one of the inputs, and a brand cannot pay to be added to a list, moved up a list, or removed from one.

We also want to be clear about what our reviews are not. We do not perform hands on product testing and we do not run a testing laboratory. Our assessments are built from manufacturer specifications, retail listing data, aggregate customer ratings, and purchase demand signals. Where we lack solid data on a product, we say so rather than filling the gap with invented detail.

Other affiliate relationships

Amazon is our primary affiliate partner, but we may participate in other retailer or brand affiliate programs from time to time. The same rules apply to every one of them: the link costs you nothing extra, and the commission has no influence on scoring or placement.

Prices and availability

Product prices and availability shown on this site are drawn from retailer data and are accurate only as of the moment they were retrieved. They change frequently. The price displayed on the retailer’s own product page at the time of your purchase is the price that applies. Please confirm current price, model number, and specifications on the retailer page before buying.

Federal Trade Commission compliance

This disclosure is published in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements, testimonials, and the disclosure of material connections in advertising, found in 16 CFR Part 255. Our goal is that no reader is ever surprised to learn we earn a commission, because it is stated openly wherever it applies.
